
You’ve certainly heard concerning the Trojan Family, or at the least some guide to it. Yet it’s hard to truly realize the real ways in which the Trojan Family manifests it self without actually experiencing it first-hand. Here, we shall do my better to offer you a sense of what it’s all about.
For starters, we’re BIG, with over 300,000 living alumni global. Wherever you determine to settle, there would have been a number of Trojans there to support both your expert and pursuits that are personal. There are over 100 alumni organizations in major cities around the world that host networking events, local faculty presentations, and USC game-watching parties, just to name a couple of. There are many benefits to being fully a USC alumnus. Individual advantages include discounts on food, travel, insurance, monetary services, etc. Yet, in today’s difficult economic times, it is probably the professional advantages of being a member of the Trojan Family that are many advantageous.
The USC Alumni Association, in partnership with the USC Career Center, provides alumni with multiple resources including:
-Trojans Hiring Trojans, an initiative that offers alumni free access to ConnectSC, a large online task listings database
-Fight On!line, a database that helps alumni stay connected with one another
-Career counseling at a discounted rate
-Access to career fairs throughout the year

Jump-Start USC Internships to your Career
USC is a college with numerous research opportunities, a campus that is rich and an interdisciplinary approach to education enabling students to pursue disparate scholastic interests. Ultimately, our hope is why these attributes will prepare students to be leaders and innovators also to subscribe to the world after they graduate. Element of that preparation means students that are giving for internships; to apply what they’ve learned in the class room to a real-world setting. There clearly was an endless amount of personal and digital resources available for our students; they don’t have to search very far to find an internship. More specifically, the USC profession Center is just a ‘one stop shop’ for pupils searching for job opportunities. They offer workshops, career fairs and advisement to help undergraduates with resumes, interview etiquette, and anything else you can think of with regards to pursuing a working job or an internship. The faculty and staff work difficult to make yes our students have the skills to be competitive and adaptive within an ever-changing economy.

The International Community of USC
Here at USC, we pride ourselves on being reflective associated with diverse metropolis that houses us: Los Angeles. You will be surrounded by students and faculty members alike from all over the country and from all across the globe when you come to USC. In reality, there is no ethnic majority at USC, and ten percent of this past year’s freshman class was made up of international students.
The most represented geographic areas at USC are California, Texas, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and Washington within the United States. Outside the U.S., probably the most represented areas are Asia (including Hong Kong), South Korea, Canada, Taiwan, Asia, and Mexico.
Joseph Harari, a current sophomore from Mexico, shared his experience as an international pupil at USC:
Every you are surrounded by students from countries all over the world day. I currently live with four other students from Latin backgrounds, which has allowed me to learn more about Panamanian culture, Guatemalan culture, etc. As a continuing business student, we have plenty of connection with our classmates. One other day in my Macroeconomics course, there is a woman from Dubai in my group, that was helpful because she managed to bring knowledge that is first-hand the United Arab Emirates’ economy. Having other students that are international can also be good because we can help each other with paperwork, finding internships, and other logistical things like that. You meet so many individuals from many backgrounds; it really starts up the entire world for you.

In a day that is single my morning is invested at my on-campus task with my coworker from Dubai; my afternoon was at a discussion section with my classmate from Melbourne; later in the day I would personally hit the Lyon Center with my workout buddy from Munich; We would then eat dinner with my roommate who was from Japan. Simply put, I would travel the globe in a day, and these encounters only enriched my time spent at USC by permitting me personally to see different cultures and views to that I might not have otherwise been exposed.
